Vexed, Liverpool have a big back four. For me we need a bulldozer like Antonio. Valencia on for Song and Zarate for Payet when legs get tired.

A bench with Valencia, Zarate, Carroll, Jenkinson, Noble gives options. We need another Striker in the window though

chad, Skrtel is out, we can do them

Re: Team v Liverpool
Is he? Even better news.

Truth be told I cannot see Payet starting and arguably not Lanzini. We need to have a proper go at this though so physical players in Obiang and Kouyate and Song to bully the pipsqueeks in their midfield.

Re: Team v Liverpool
I'd go with the 11 who finished yesterday's game in the positions they finished in assuming all are fit and energetic enough.

Only change cresswell for jenks if he's fit and Tomkins to right back.

I cannot see Payet starting. That is completely at odds with how Bilic has reintroduced injured players.

Chad sexington 8:34.no balance in that line-up. Tomkins and song would produce nothing frm the right offensively and i don't trust song to double up defensively to help tomkins

Re: Team v Liverpool
With no change to our injury situation I would start with the team that started the second half last night. And definitely with Jenkinson at right back rather than left.

Get rid of Ogbonna he is a liabilty

Re: Team v Liverpool
Ogbonna is a liability guy who started last 5 games with 2 conceded but you start with Jenks who has been utterly shit all season

Good one....

Re: Team v Liverpool
Yep and 1 of those goals was the penalty he gave against away Villa. Jenkinson may not be the greatest defender i agree but going forward we look a much better team than without him. Only my opinion of course!

Got to be in the top 5 outrageous comments of 2015.

Re: Team v Liverpool
I would give 2 players the benefit of the doubt despite poor performances yesterday - Jenkinson and Zarate. As has already been said, we look much better going forward with Jenks in the side - put the hard-working Antonio in front of him for cover and a good outlet going forward. Give Zarate another chance but with a flea in his ear for wasting so much possession and probably take him off at half time for Payet.
Ogbonna worries me - sometimes he looks calm and even imperious but at other times he looks way too casual and gets caught out. He was really shown up by Ginge's bust-a-gut attitude yesterday - I'd drop him as a kick up the backside, likewise Kouyate.

. Adrian
Jenks Tomkins Collins Cresswell
. Noble. Obiang
. Antonio Lanzini. Zarate
. Carroll

Why would anyone drop Antonio after yesterdays match ? I honestly cant see the fuss about Valencia. Upfront or on the wing. Massively over rated.

Adrian
Tomkins- Collins- Ogbonna- Cresswell
Song - Noble
Kouyate- Lanzini- Antonio
Carroll

For me.

I cannot believe that any of us would choose to start against Liverpool the current version of Alex song.

Re: Team v Liverpool
AbsoMutely NOT Song.

Ps. BT Sport just trailed our game on Saturday and said Liverpool can go 6th with a win but nothing about us being able to go 5th .... Strange

Re: Team v Liverpool
Too many question marks as to who's fit to play & who's available

Collins & Valencia hobbled away after Southampton

Cresswell appeared to have a hamstring problem & might not be ready for 90 mins if at all

Reid might not be quite ready to replace Collins (if unavailable)

Hopefully, Lanzini should be ok & Song might be ready for a full game

Moses might play some part

I doubt Payet will be ready for a full game

It might be ok to risk one or two returning players but no more

MikeHammer 11:12 Tue Dec 29

I just saw that and couldn't believe my ears.

He said at noon it's West Ham v Liverpool and Liverpool can go 6th with a heavy win at West Ham.

They need to win about 6 or 7 -0 or something to go 6th, whereas a 1-0 win could see us 5th.

Fuck

'em

ALL!
